BOUT TIME!

It's about time I finally debuted this dress on my blog! I don't think I ever mentioned getting this Alexander Wang dress or not about a year ago .. BUT I DID!! I love it to death but the seams on the sides of the batwings come undone easily so this dress is always in need of repair. :c

I wasn't quite sure how to pose to show the batwings .. but I tried, haha. It's one of my favorite feats about this dress aside from the twill bottom.

For your reference ... replying to this blog back in July of last year; hah. http://ivoryaesthetics.blogspot.com/2009/07/pockets.html

And I can't forget .. my mummy's bun rieu! Soooo soo nomsy; another one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes. c: Consists of a tomato based soup, vermicelli, bean sprouts, fish balls, meat balls, tomatoes, cilantro, green onions, tofu, egg, crab, and shrimp!

Chapter Meeting

(Forever 21 dress shirt, strong poofy shouldered blazer from Hong Kong, Mom's vintage gray leather belt, H&M pants, Report heels)

Productive meeting! Lots of new information .. good people. People with potential!

I'm sorry to that one person who I couldn't pick up. :c I felt the same way about our connection and how we're able to talk to one another so comfortably! I'm sure whoever you get this Saturday .. will be good.. don't worry! c: & if you have any concerns or would want to talk to me, you can always still feel free to do so! I hope to see lots of improvement from you! You're a good individual, just needing some guidance .. and whoever that person you get .. I hope they too will provide that for you & lead you towards the right direction. c:

Again, my anonymity for the people I talk about, haha. I guess, you, my readers will have to keep guessing ... as they will continue to remain anonymous. c: Keeps my ... blogs ... more .. privately public I guess? Haha, oxymoron.

NEW NAIL COLOR! O.P.I. You Don't Know Jacques! I just painted them the other day and they're already chipping. :c Darn my weak nails!

KIMCHEE RICE X THOUGHTS

2nd attempt on kimchee fried rice! Came out a bit more ..damp? than the first batch but still nomsy! Left over Costco chicken was a lot better than last time's left over KFC chicken. Hahaha. Had a bit more flavor & less dry! Soooo satisfying! I was craving it all day, hahha.

Kimchee fried rice with eggs and shredded chicken!

So just today, I saw some things that made me rethink what I'm currently in. I'm gonna be a bit ambiguous about this, but .. that's just to help remain the anonymity of the person or persons that I'm going to talk about... though as private as I may want it .. it's still public so I guess you'd be able to figure out if you knew the situation. But while driving home .. I thought ... is it too much to ask .. if I wanted some of the things that any other girl would want? Not even like big expensive gifts, but just the small little things like flowers or cute handwritten notes, or just little surprises ... would keep me smiling for hours. I don't consider myself needy but when I see other girls receive the same affection that I think I too am deserving of .. sometimes I think .. what if I were that other person that went away? Would you have done something different if I were that person? Maybe it's the situation that you're in, that keeps you from doing all these things that you may want to do but can't do; I don't know. Perhaps there may be an alternative .. but I see of none at the moment. Giving more than what I receive is what I always do, and maybe I do it a little too much... but that just may be, because that's the way I am ... or maybe I'm just being too nice may be it. I dunno what to think sometimes.

Am I greedy for wanting more? ... I don't think so... haha, maybe I've watched so many of those asian dramas that my thoughts on how relationships should be is so skewed that my real life world collides with those of the utopian-most-likely-happy-ending-drama-like-worlds.

Half a year draws near, I am hopeful. I'm really not extravagant as you make me seem .. cause deep inside, I'm really just a plain jane hopin' for those little surprises that make every moment so much more sentimentally heart-warming.

BURRITOS X WENDABOT

Cheesesteak Burrito topped with red sauce

California Burrito topped with red sauce

Some food that I wanted to share from a couple days ago. I finally had my first Californian burrito with fries in it at Burrito Azteca! Surprisingly the name of the burrito itself was California Burrito, haha. My brother got a Cheesesteak Burrito, which was alsooo very nomsy! Good portion sizes, not too much, not too little, just enough to get you a little more than satisfied. c: They could be a less frugal about the salsa sauces and offer a bit more than the sparing amount they hand you though. Wait was a little long but I think that's just the time they put into it to make it a better? burrito? Hahaha...but overall, not bad - would come again! c: (PS. Red sauce was definitely better than the green!)

OH OH OH! And I would like to share my best friend's blog! She recently just started it .. it's of all the things she likes to do and wants to share with the rest of the world! We have similar blogs, so if you like checking out what I post about, you should check her's out! Cute WDYWTs, DIYs, & more!

Lena's Birthday!

Happy belated love! c: I had a wonderful time last night ... definitely made up for an awful morning/afternoon. Haha. To Lena's birthday dinner at D&B's! Was kinda overdressed, but it's okay, I prefer to look overdressed rather than underdressed!! c: ...I wanted to look nice in the photos!! .. :c Hah!

Candid, hah!

Loves them all!!

Had to take advantage of those sketchy photo machines!! Hehehe~

Surprisingly D&B's food was a lot better than I had expected! I forgot which entree I ordered ... R ordered it for me while I was conversating with the birthday girl & guests ... but the chicken on the skewer was tender, unlike most restaurants where it's cooked to the point where it's dry no matter how much sauce you dip/drench it in. However, the steak on the skewer was not too chew-friendly .. sooooo chewy!!! I had to cut it into a million tiny pieces before it was chewable enough to swallow! But overrall, I enjoyed my meal .. it came with 2 dipping sauces (neither of which I tried cause the meat itself was already flavorful) & a zesty salsa-like rice mix.

The place is huge! They had a separate game room too .. it's like an adult playground + all the alchy + ..older people? Definitely a good time with my co-workers. c: The happy hour half off drinks made it even better! Hah!

First Try Tofu Soup & MV A&W Festival

(DIY cut off cropped top courtesy of bsp, belt from Hong Kong, DIY stud/cut off shorts, Forever 21/bsp/random accessories)

Jessica & I's first try at making Korean Hot Tofu Soup (Soondubuchigae)! Surprisingly it came out quite good, not as spicy as I thought despite it's strong spicy aroma!! A bit watered down cause of the beef broth, but we both were quite happy with the outcome. We used fine hot chili powder, beef broth, tofu, clams, beef, egg, kimchee, leek, scallions, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil! It's actually really easy to make and a quick delicious eat. It only took about 15 minutes to prepare and 10 minutes to cook.

With about an hour and a half to spare before Jessica had to leave, we headed to the Mountain View Art & Wine Festival featuring over 500 artists and craftsmakers! There were sooo many tents of exhibits and displays for sale and food that we wanted to try but we didn't have much time with only about an hour to explore. BUT, we did manage to snag this corn on the cob, which was sooo tasty!! I never thought about putting garlic salt, parmesan, lemon pepper, and lemon pepper butter on corn! I guess I'm gonna have to do this more often at home. c:

I also managed to take a couple shots of some of the artwork and crafts!

Earlier Last Month in SF

Farmer's market in the Embaracadero!

(Zara gray sweater, MNG by Mango black cardigan, Zara blazer, Forever 21 leggings & accessories, Zara knee high boots, scarf from a New York street vendor)

I loveeeee farmer's markets!!! I love the environment, the people, the fresh fruits and veggies, homey jams and dips, and beautiful flowers! I also got R's mummy some unique looking orchids (the ones that I'm holding) but I didn't get to take a good photo of it before giving it away. :c

Not a great shot, kinda off focus there, but unique looking orchids! I think they're a hybrid?

Continued our walk from the Embaracadero towards the North Beach area / Fisherman's Wharf and stopped by Golden Boy Pizza! Different style than what I'm used to (ya know .. the normal triangle looking slices haha) ... these are more square/rectangular and definitely more breadier. Almost like Foccacia??

My FAV! Clam Garlic, soooo nomsys! I think it could do with a little less parsley and garlic and more clam though.

Combination was alright, but still good!

Definitely cheap nomsy eats for a quick lunch! Would sooooo come back for more of the Clam Garlic! If only you weren't so far away. :c

This girl at the Wharf gave me a bag of peanuts after complimenting me on my sweater! Hahaha ... yay for free nuts?!

Mini street performer show that we saw at the Wharf before heading to Riley's! Captain Jack Spareribs!! The kids loved him. c:

At Ripley's Believe It or Not! Some of my favorite photos/things at the exhibit. Most of these were taken by R.

Walked around the Wharf and then passed by a Susie Cakes! Decided to try their Red Velvet & Coconut cupcakes! c:

Barrels and barrels of salt water taffy in this candy shop!!! The Caramel Apple is my fav. c:

Coconut & Red Velvet

Sooooo nomsy! Normally I don't like frosting too much (even in the cupcakes that I make hahah) but this one wasn't too overbearingly sweet! Just right to complement the red velvet cake. c:
