Sushi Poison?

I feel pretty awful right now. I feel like puking. :c I don't know if it's too much sushi from earlier today or what. :c Hopefully not food poisoning or the stomach flu.

What I wore for the day, to sushi and to work. We're having a really weird dress code right now; we're allowed to wear denim and contemporary clothing that we got from work, instead of the usual black and white business casual.

(white tank top from Hong Kong, Forever 21 pink blouse, cardigan from Hong Kong, Rock & Republic jeans, Steve Madden pointed heels)

We had more rolls, but I forgot to take a picture of our 2nd round. :c

SHINee

I seem to be having a Korean fever or something, cause all I want to do/listen/watch is Korean-related. I don't know what the hype about SHINee is all about. This song's pretty catchy, but their performance definitely was not. They're not as goregous as the other boy bands/groups either. Hahaha. The performance was awhile back... but that doesn't matter. I don't know if the floor is really slippery or what, but the members seem to be slipping all over the place, pretty funny if you ask me. Hahaha.

But HongKi from F.T. Island on the other hand ... heheheheheheh.

Guilt

(Forever 21 headband, Theory top, MNG by Mango cardigan, H&M pants, HK pointed flats)

I know, super broken room, we're repainting and redecorating. And I know ... you're probably tired of this outfit, I keep wearing pretty much the same thing, so this is like my default "business casual" outfit. I try to switch tops though! I overwear this cardigan and pants. Hahaha. Oh and close up on shoes.

Today was our pledge orientation ... an awfully guilty day for me it was. I had to call in "sick" for work today because the orientation was mandatory and I could not miss it. So I had slept at 3 in the morning, set my alarm clock for 8:30 AM, so that I could call in "sick" and say that I wouldn't be able to come in. My manager had told me it was okay and that if I felt any better, to call and ask if I was needed to come in. So I was like okayyy, and went back to sleep.

Woke up again at 12:15 thinking that I would have plenty of time to get ready for the orientation, and I was done preparing by 1:45ish. When I called my mother to take me to school (because I have my licenses, and no car, she said that she had to stay at her business because her clients were coming to pick up their tickets and that the best she could do was to drop me off at the bus station and I'd have to take the bus from there. When I got to the bus station, the 522 had left already, and if I took the 22, I would not make it in time, so instead I call Riley to ask him where he's at and if he could pick me up. He said of course he could, but I thought about just taking the bus since I didn't want to make him late as well. And all the while I was waiting, I kept pacing up and down the bus station, anxiously waiting for him to come and worrying that I'd make him late too, even though we assured me that we still had time. Sure enough, we were late about 5 minutes. x_x - 1 point for being late. - 2 points for making Riley late as well.

At the orientation we played a mini ice breaker game, and came back in. Approximately 20 minutes later, my phone rings out of nowhere! ... and I swear ... I put it on silent! - 1 point for cell phone ringing even when asked to turn it off or on silent.

And then when elections for positions came along ... I couldn't make up my decision as to whether or not I should run. But I ended up running for VP Marketing ... until there was a position for Historian instead, and then I switched over to that instead. I had to run against Elaine, and I had lost. Our pledge parents had said that you couldn't vote for yourself, and so I voted for Elaine. We had to have the vote twice, and before the 2nd time, our pledge parent said that you couldn't vote for yourself (or at least that's what I heard) so I voted for Elaine again. So Elaine won, and I thought oh it's okay, she probably won by a lot anyways. And then later on I heard the pledge parents say that you can vote for yourself, and as a reflex, I just said, "What?! You can?! I voted for Elaine ..." And then later the actives told me that it was a tie between me and her, the ending vote ended up 10 - 11 (Me - Elaine) and they said that I was basically the one who won, but since I voted for Elaine (I was the deciding vote), she won. So had I voted for myself, I would've won. So we later sorted it out, because there was a misunderstanding on my part and it would be unfair to Elaine since she was already declared the winner. So we ended up settling that since Elaine actually wanted to be the Chairman for Fundraisers more than Historian, she gave her spot to me, and she ended up running for Fundraising and won for that, which I'm glad and happy for. I'm sure she'll do a great job. c:

Hypocrite

(Forever 21/DIY headband, Forever 21 tank top, vintage mom's dress shirt, M by MNG Mango cardigan, H&M jeans, Stuart Weitzman flats)

What I wore last night when I made my ... decision? ... to decide to pledge to AKP. I hope that joining this business fraternity (a co-ed one) will fill that feeling of being uninvolved and apart from school.

There have been many times when I was asked to give my opinion on asked whether or not someone should join a fraternity or a sorority and almost everytime, I would say that you're just paying money to make friends, when you can make friends outside of a frat/sorority without having to pay anything! And then there's the topic of hazing, though what's been told is that almost every frat/soro doesn't haze, but they still do? At least to some extent? Some have even told me that some end up having to carry bricks in their backpacks or do really tedious and unnecessary tasks because the elders said so without any justifiable reasoning. I mean I just barely started pledging, and I don't know what any of it's like, so I generalize every frat/sorority to be the way that I said so, but I will say no more. Maybe it'll be like what I expected it to be? Maybe it won't be. I won't know till I try right?! From the beginning I had opposed doing so, but now that I'm actually pledging, just proves that I'm a hypocrite.

And what I wore on Valentine's Day. I spent the day working and the night hanging out with my man best friend. We went to watch Taken. IT'S A GOOD MOVIE, GO WATCH.

(Forever 21 long sleeve, Urban Outfitters beaded capelet, co-worker's cupcake green heart ring, Rock & Republic jeans, thrifted wedges, vintage mom's Gucci bag)

These are the jeans that I hemmed and brought in the leg cut!

I Lied

Okay, I lied. I ended up getting this David Yurman Thoroughbred Bracelet with the Gold Dome. There was such a good sale, I could not resist. :x I think of it as my ... anti - love anti - valentine's day - early birthday present to myself. Hahaha.

So Valentine's Day is coming up and it's all I hear about on the radio and basically everywhere. I think I might just be drowning in all that red and pink with chocolates and hearts and teddy bears and jewelry. While all the couples are preparing themselves for this lovely day, all the single people and those without Valentine's can feel like they too, need a significant other to share this day with. You don't need to shove it in our faces! >:c What happened to giving everyone Valentines like in elementary school!?

Okay, just kidding, I'm not really that anti-love or anti-Valentine's Day. I have enough love for everyone to share. c: I'll be spending my Valentine's Day working and maybe movies with my bff afterwards. Surprise me! Hahaha.

2 more weeks!

Some of my birthday wants. Can you tell that I have a growing obsession for sweater dresses?! It's finally cold (for now... California has such schizophrenic weather)... and rainy. The weather has made me want to wear nothing but black and black and sweatshirts and more black and stay at home all day in the warmth and comfort of my bed. That might be the reason for why the majority of what I want is in black, gray, red, or blue. Haha. Oh, I also want furniture (actually... that's what I want more... aside from the sweaters). I'll be turning 19!

:x I have a confession. It's only been a month since my 2009 resolutions, and I've already broken one of them the 2nd month into the year. x_x But for all good reasons, I promise! $300 was my spending budget this month, but books for the new semester required $$ ... and ... I got my brother a pair of APC Petite Standards for his 16th birthday which was more $$. T_T Those two alone already brought me over $300... and it wasn't for any of my unnecessary and personal wants! So I'm still okay ... right? :x

Virgin Striped Ties

(Forever 21 headband & white v-neck, Love Culture long shawl cardigan worn tied, H&M black pants, Payless boots)

Work always has it's perks. Today consisted of a really-creepy-potential-theft guy who would not answer to any of the associate's comments/questions and would just kinda wander around with shifty eyes >_> <_<>_> <_< and another two dudes who had what I thought had an interesting ... thought.

Man 1: What do you think about this striped tie? It's kinda dark huh?
Man 2: Yeah, I don't like dark ties. I don't really like that it's striped too cause it remind me of virgins.

So tell me guys, how does dark, striped ties correlate to virgins?
