Lovely Sunday Break!

Finally a weekend day off from work! Had a lovely afternoon and dinner with Raymond! Spent sometime shopping (even though I'm supposed to be on a shopping ban ... :c ), had dinner at Layang Layang, and dessert at our usual! Hello Dessert!! c:

Layang Layang wasn't too bad, I thoroughly enjoyed the Roti Canai and the Nasi Lemak. Everything else was ordered was okay, the Seafood Tom Yum soup was good but it made me super thirsty and felt like it had a whole bunch of MSG in it. :c It's either all the MSG in it .. or all the spices in it ... not too sure. >_> Lacked quite a bit of seafood as well, but 's kay. I didn't really like the Papaya Salad too much ... I prefer the Vietnamese-styled Papaya Salads with fish sauce instead of this Malaysian style with sweet and sour sauce. Beef Rendang, was alright as well. Would've been better if it was actually spicy!

I finally had a chance to try out House of Bagels & make red velvet cupcakes on Wednesday!

Had a cheese bagel & jalapeno cream cheese! Justin (who introduced to this new, lovely .. and cozy looking bagel shop that's super yummy!) had a regular bagel & lox cream cheese (salmon)! MMMM...

Later that day .. I went out to Lucky's & Save Mart to get ingredients to make these lovely cupcakes! It was my first time making them from scratch, and I thought they came out fairly well! The cupcake wasn't too sweet, but it was perfect paired with the cream cheese frosting! Also topped it with a raspberry. c:

Atomic Fashion Show & Ma Boo Hay

Reserving a post for today, I shall update more when I get home tomorrow!

Didn't get a chance to recap yet... but went to the Atomic Fashion Show hosted by the newly launched Helium magazine last Wednesday! They had quite an amount of new, aspiring designers showcased ... but not very many pieces shown on the runway for each designer. I would have liked more, but definitely not bad! The fashion show was a lot better than I was expecting it to be (at least a lot better than what I saw offered on their websites).

Went to Ma Boo Hay the next day, and performances by many self-famed Filipino artists for their talents (singing, dancing, beatboxing, writing). I was slightly disappointed that I didn't get to meet neither Gabe Bondoc nor Passion or get pictures with them! :c BUT, AJ Rafael did greet my best friend who was sitting next to me twice, while walking past me TWICE and only sat 5 (I think .. or 6?) seats down! .. OH MY GOD.
